Proposal Coordinator - The Office of Proposal Development (OPD)

Job Overview The Office of Proposal Development (OPD) is seeking two Proposal Coordinators to join our dynamic team. OPD is a shared services unit offering administrative support for pre‑award research development operating within the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Position Details This is a full‑time position, Grade 78, continuing, non‑exempt, 12‑month. The role includes a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package, including retirement, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision cover. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule based on education and experience. The position is located at the UAF campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. Remote work agreements may be considered under UA regulations. Qualifications Associate’s degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to grant proposal development, or an equivalent combination of training and expertise. At least two of the following skills and/or knowledge: computer knowledge of Mac or Windows compatible computers; general accounting understanding for budget preparation; advanced software knowledge of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Typing speed of 45 words per minute or more. Experience in proposal development is beneficial but not required.
