Assistant Controller

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established, rapidly growing organization to identify an Assistant Controller to join its corporate accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting a complex, multi-entity accounting environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across the organization. Reporting to senior accounting leadership, the Assistant Controller will oversee a small team while balancing hands‑on accounting responsibilities with strategic initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Support and help lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and foreign currency transactions Manage and enhance monthly accrual processes and account reconciliations Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and system enhancements Partner with finance teams across the organization to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures Maintain and strengthen internal controls to support compliance and financial reporting accuracy Assist with external audits and coordinate with third‑party service providers Collaborate cross‑functionally on inventory, cost accounting, and operational reporting initiatives Prepare management reporting and support ad hoc financial analysis Contribute to projects related to growth initiatives, new business offerings, and geographic expansion Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA strongly preferred 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience working within a multi-entity and/or international accounting environment Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting staff Background in operationally complex, manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive environments preferred Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude 15% Annual Bonus 401(k) with Company Match Hybrid Work Schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Opportunity to join a growing organization with strong leadership and long-term career advancement potential #J-18808-Ljbffr
