Job Summary
As a Logistics Operations Coordinator at AIB Express Logistics, LLC, I was responsible for coordinating domestic and international freight shipments while ensuring timely and accurate transportation services for customers. My role required close communication with carriers, warehouse personnel, customs brokers, and clients to maintain smooth daily logistics operations. I monitored shipment progress, resolved transportation issues, and ensured all shipping documentation complied with company procedures and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinated daily shipment scheduling for air, ocean, and ground freight.
- Prepared and reviewed shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Communicated with customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and transportation updates.
- Worked directly with carriers and freight partners to arrange pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments.
- Maintained accurate shipment records within the company's transportation management system.
- Tracked cargo from origin to final destination and proactively addressed delays or service interruptions.
- Assisted with freight quotations, transportation cost analysis, and customer rate requests.
- Collaborated with warehouse staff to verify inventory accuracy, shipment labeling, and loading schedules.
- Ensured compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and customer-specific shipping requirements.
- Supported the operations team by preparing weekly logistics reports and resolving service-related issues promptly.
Skills and Experience
The position required strong organizational abilities, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Experience using logistics software, Microsoft Excel, shipment tracking systems, and freight documentation procedures was essential. Knowledge of supply chain operations and customer service practices contributed to maintaining efficient transportation services and high client satisfaction.
