Specialty Patient Engagement Specialist (Pharmacy Liaison)AndHealth is on a mission to radically improve access and outcomes for the most challenging chronic health conditions, with the goal of making world-class specialty care accessible and affordable to all. We partner with health systems, community health centers and independent practices to remove barriers to care to ensure all people have access to the care they deserve.We are looking for Specialty Patient Engagement Specialists to play an important role at AndHealth. This is an onsite position located at our Health Center partner site in Ohio.What you'll do in the role:Accurately process prescriptions within the pharmacy operating system, ensure data accuracy, and support daily inventory activities like ordering and storing pharmaceuticals.Complete comprehensive benefits verification and help enroll patients in copay cards, patient assistance programs, or other secondary coverage to eliminate cost barriers.Collaborate closely with providers to address formulary restrictions and complete prior authorizations or appeals to ensure specialty medication access.Consistently communicate with patients to reassess medication utilization, identify potential side effects, and schedule upcoming fills or deliveries.Accurately document all patient interactions within the specialty pharmacy software and route any clinical needs directly to a pharmacist or licensed clinician.Manage patient medical referrals for specialty care, and support patients by guiding them through onsite digital health questionnaires and the AndHealth mobile app.Generate adherence reports, strictly follow HIPAA guidelines during all customer interactions, and provide flexible on-site or remote operational support as business needs evolve.Maintain flexibility to provide on-site support or cross-site remote assistance, ensuring operational continuity as business needs evolve.Other responsibilities as needed.Education & Licensure Requirements:High School Diploma required.Bachelor's degree is preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain.Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of OH required.Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.Other Skills or Qualifications:3+ years of pharmacy experience is preferred.Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.Must be organized and able to work independently.Must have reliable transportation.Here's what we'd like to offer you:Equal investment and support for our people and patients.A fun and ambitious growing environment with a culture that takes on important things, takes risks, and learns quickly.The ability to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and conscientiousness, and find joy in working together.A team of highly skilled, incredibly kind, and welcoming employees, every one of whom has something unique to offer.We know that the overall success of our business is a collaborative effort, and we strive to provide ongoing opportunities for our employees to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Paid time off, Short- and Long-Term Disability, 401k match and more.Additional Requirements:Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: Documentation of a negative screening conducted within the last 12 months.Hepatitis B: Proof of a completed vaccine series or a positive blood titer result from within the last 12 months.Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR): Proof of a completed vaccine series or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of vaccination, documented medical history of the disease, or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis): Documentation of a booster administered within the last 10 years.Influenza: Proof of vaccination for the current flu season.COVID-19: Documentation of primary vaccine series and any boosters administered.General: Additional health requirements may be requested as necessary.We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
