Job Summary

Provides surgical technologist support for pediatric cardiovascular operating room procedures. Assists with case preparation, sterile field management, instrumentation, supplies, and surgical team support. Strong experience in Pediatric Cardiac, Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Level I Trauma is required.

Essential Functions

• Prepare pediatric CVOR cases, instruments, supplies, and equipment.

• Establish and maintain a sterile field using strict aseptic technique.

• Pass instruments, supplies, and medications during surgical procedures.

• Assist with pediatric cardiac and complex surgical cases.

• Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and sharps counts with the RN.

• Maintain surgical equipment, supplies, and specialty inventory.

• Support Neuro, Ortho, General Surgery, and Level I Trauma procedures.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operating room.

• Perform other duties according to department guidelines.

Required Experience

• Strong Pediatric Cardiac/CVOR experience — Required

• Pediatric Neuro, Ortho, and General Surgery experience — Required

• Level I Trauma experience — Required

• Pediatric operating room experience strongly preferred.

• Surgical Technologist certification and BLS — Required/Preferred per facility guidelines
