RN - PACU

PACU RN Position

This position is for a 12-hour shift from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM.

Job Description

The PACU RN will provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to monitor patients' vital signs, manage postoperative care, and effectively communicate with surgical teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Administer medications and manage pain relief protocols.
• Communicate with family members regarding patient recovery status.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive postoperative care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience is required.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications.
• Active RN license in Michigan.
