Quality Inspector

Summary:The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements.Duties & Responsibilities:Inspect products, such as forgings, bars, sheets, castings, and strips, for conformity to customer specificationsUse measuring instruments to examine products for flatness, straightness, and defects, such as cracks, slivers, or scarsMark defective areas with chalk or paintVerify dimensions of product, using micrometers, gauges, tapes, and templatesConduct hardness tests, using, hardness testing machinesReject products not meeting specificationsPrepare reports covering materials scrapped or salvagedCommunicates effectively (verbal and written) with all contactsAccepts and adapts easily to changeEnsures that all activities are consistent with Company Mission StatementOperates job-related equipment with or without an accommodationMeets physical demands of job with or without an accommodationOther duties as assignedRequirements:2+ years of previous experience required; aircraft parts inspection preferredKnowledge of AS9100 Rev C preferredHigh School diploma or GED preferredRead, write, and speak English fluentlyProficient with basic shop mathSense of urgencyAbility to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
