Job Summary
The Planner/Buyer plans, purchases, and schedules materials to support production, inventory goals, and customer ship dates in an MRP/ERP manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, purchase, and schedule materials to meet production and customer requirements.
- Create purchase orders and work orders based on bookings and sales orders.
- Maintain accurate MRP data, inventory records, and supplier documentation.
- Track work orders, resolve material issues, and support timely shipments.
- Coordinate with Engineering on new products and special customer orders.
- 3-5 years of planning and/or purchasing experience in an MRP/ERP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with complex Bills of Materials and inventory management.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree, APICS/NAPM certification, or Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred.
