Production Supervisor

Fleet ManagerModular Genius, Inc. is seeking a qualified Fleet Manager to join our Operations Department. This position will report directly to the Operations Managers and will work closely with operations, purchasing, and service teams to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, control costs, and support overall company success.The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, compliance, utilization, and lifecycle management of the company's modular unit fleet and company vehicles. The primary objective is to ensure all assets are safe, operational, compliant, and cost-effective in support of modular building logistics and customer delivery schedules.General Responsibilities:Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, customer requirements, and site-specific safety standards. Promote and support a company-wide culture where safety is a core valueComply with all company policies outlined in the Modular Genius Employee HandbookEnsure company assets are maintained to support operational excellence and customer satisfactionKey Responsibilities:Asset Maintenance & Refurbishment:Oversee cleaning, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of modular units to ensure readiness for reassignmentEstablish quality standards for asset condition and presentationFleet & Vehicle Management:Manage acquisition, maintenance scheduling, repairs, inspections, and disposal of company vehiclesEnsure all fleet vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant with DOT regulationsVendor & Contractor Management:Identify, recruit, and evaluate third-party vendors for specialized work beyond internal capabilitiesNegotiate service agreements and pricing to optimize value and performanceQuality Control & Inspection:Develop and implement inbound inspection procedures for returning modular units and equipmentEstablish and enforce quality control standards for fleet readinessInventory & Logistics Coordination:Track asset assignments across branch locationsManage purchase orders for parts, equipment, and fleet-related materialsCoordinate logistics to maximize utilization and minimize downtimeTeam Leadership:Supervise yard personnel and driversPromote accountability, productivity, safety compliance, and professional developmentQualifications & Skills:Required Qualifications:Previous modular building industry experience preferredValid driver's licenseReliable transportationU.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United StatesTechnical & Operational Skills:Knowledge of modular building components preferred and general vehicle mechanicsExperience with fleet management, routing, dispatching, and inventory controlGeneral carpentry and mechanical aptitudeWillingness to operate forklifts and skid steers (training and certification provided by Modular Genius)Regulatory Knowledge:Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations and compliance standardsProfessional Skills:Strong budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor negotiation skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams)Job Type: Full-time Exempt401(k) with employer matchDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceEmployer paid life and disability insuranceHealth Savings AccountGenerous paid time offDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
