DEPARTMENT: Cameron @ Work JOB TITLE: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner SHIFT: 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Bi-weekly, Full-time, Days. M-F. This position is Benefit Eligible. Summary/Objective Provides medical direction and treatment of patients within the practitioner’s scope of practice and in collaboration with the supervising physician. Essential Functions Exemplifies good customer service. Collaborates with Multidisciplinary team in office and hospital to assure continuity of care. Conducts a comprehensive assessment of patients, interprets medical histories, performs physical examinations, identifies problems, and formulates a plan of treatment per standard of care. Assess normal and abnormal findings from the patient history, physical examination, laboratory test, and other diagnostic findings. Documents patient care services in the patient’s EMR, prescribes medications, and discharge instructions in a timely manner. Works closely with collaborating physician in treating or referring patients with significant abnormal findings. Participates in process improvement. Carries out all duties in a manner consistent with Cameron’s guiding principles and values and according to Cameron’s policies and procedures. Adheres to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, as appropriate Qualifications Experience Two years’ experience in designated clinic preferred Skills/Competencies Strong communication and critical thinking skills Ability to multitask and problem solve Education Required Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Licenses Requirements Current License in the State of Indiana Certified/boarded, if applicable, in their specialty or willing to obtain within six months of hire Current DEA certificate without restriction Must be able to meet Cameron Hospital’s credentialing requirements.
