Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, inventory, and cost accounting. This role ensures accurate records and supports month-end close in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Prepare journal entries and complete month-end close tasks
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances
- Support inventory accounting and cycle counts
- Assist with standard costing and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation
- Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-4 years of experience (manufacturing preferred)
- ERP system experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with good time management
