Mohawk Mountain is seeking a full-time heavy equipment mechanic to help oversee and maintain a diverse range of machinery. Equipment includes but is not limited to, small to medium excavators, bulldozers, tractors, snow grooming equipment, snow making equipment and wheel loaders. Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems is required. Experience with welding is helpful, but not required. The applicant must be able to work alone and in a team setting. This job is not an exclusively indoor job, as it requires work to be done on the mountain. Hours can be weather dependent, and work in cold/wet conditions will occur. The heavy equipment mechanic will be a part of the mountain operations department, and report directly to the mountain operations manager.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Perform preventative maintenance on a wide array of vehicles and equipment
-Troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment in a timely manner
-Keep detailed records of service work done
-Be able to work with different departments within the mountain
-Must be able to lift over 50 pounds regularly
