Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit role supporting cardiac progressive care, stepdown, telemetry, and surgical patients. The position provides care across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, urology, cardiology, and other progressive care areas. The role requires clinical flexibility to support patient care needs across multiple units.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, with NIHSS completed before the start date; minimum of 2 years of experience; experience in a large Level I trauma teaching facility; cardiology experience with post-catheterization, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and structural heart patients; Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) experience within the past 2 years.
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week; availability for at least every other weekend may be required, and schedules may be adjusted based on unit and patient care needs.
- Additional Information: Assignment length is 16–26 weeks. The position primarily supports cardiac progressive care stepdown, telemetry, and surgical services, with clinical support extending to hematology, oncology, orthopedics, medical telemetry, general surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, and gynecology.
