Recruiters should prioritize candidates with strong scientific credibility, proven proposal-writing experience, and a track record of independently driving deliverables to completion.Ideal candidate profile: The ideal candidate combines scientific depth in viral vectors or cell and gene therapy with the ability to turn technical and commercial inputs into clear, persuasive proposal content. They are highly self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working across functions, with the judgment to synthesize complex information quickly and produce polished deliverables with minimal supervision. Candidates who also understand customer needs, business development dynamics, and the broader gene therapy landscape will be especially strong fits.Your Profile:Duties:Own the proposal-writing process and lead the preparation of client proposals in close collaboration with business development, subject matter experts, project management, and executive stakeholdersOrganize and synthesize market intelligence to support the business development teamTranslate market needs into effective marketing materials and messagingOwn and maintain corporate slide presentationsPrepare marketing collateral in both electronic and print formatsContribute to website content developmentSupport business development by helping identify sales opportunities and interacting with potential customersQualifications:Required qualifications:Demonstrated technical acumen in viral vectors, with enough scientific depth to understand and communicate complex development and manufacturing topicsProven experience writing complex, high-quality proposals in a technical or biopharmaceutical environmentProfessional, self-directed working style with strong motivation and the ability to operate with limited oversightConsistent track record of following through on assignments and delivering work to completionPreferred qualifications:Knowledge of the cell and gene therapy market, including key trends, players, and customer needsExperience working in project management or in close partnership with project management teamsAdditional qualifications:More than five years of business development experience, or at least 10 years of experience working closely with business development teamsEstablished network within the gene therapy developer communityMarketing experience that supports positioning, messaging, and proposal developmentExperience collaborating with European-based teams in a cross-functional environmentTarget Salary Range: $130,000- 165,000Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.Your Benefits:Generous Time Off between PTO, Sick Time & HolidaysMedical, Dental, VisionFlexible Spending & HSA OptionsLife Insurance, Short & Long Term DisabilityPet Insurance401KFounded in 1873 in Zofingen, Switzerland, Siegfried has grown into a global network of 16 sites across three continents.
