Work Environment

You will be working in a supportive, collaborative outpatient office environment where teamwork and communication are paramount. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, providing a comprehensive range of treatment options including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. The office operates Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life structure for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical conditions, taking into consideration their medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate various modalities and therapeutic techniques, including massage, stretching, and strengthening exercises tailored to the patient's specific needs.
• Implement rehabilitation treatments, continuously monitoring patient progress and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs to support recovery.
• Participate in clinical teaching and mentorship, guiding physical therapy interns and students, facilitating their learning experience in a practical environment.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive, interdisciplinary care strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
• Contribute to clinical research initiatives within your area of expertise, ensuring engagement with the latest evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on orthopedic rehabilitation, working with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgical procedures such as joint replacements, and chronic pain conditions. Your clinical expertise will enable you to assess, treat, and support a wide range of clients, from athletes seeking to return to peak performance to older adults looking to improve their functional abilities.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physical Therapy License.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program; a Master's Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role, particularly in an orthopedic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a commitment to developing and implementing evidence-based treatment protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, though not mandatory, is highly desirable and would be an advantage in our selection process.

Compensation and Benefits
