Mechanical Designer

Our client, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment manufacturer , is looking to hire a Mechanical Designer in Tonawanda, NY . Pay Rate Range: $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience Responsibilities: Create and modify 2D and 3D part and assembly models alongside mechanical engineers. Generate and modify 2D engineering drawings based on 3D models. Maintain structured bills of material and parts lists for assemblies. Review drawings for layout, completeness, accuracy, constructability, and adherence to design and drafting standards. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal design and drafting standards. Ensure designs meet internal standards, project technical requirements, and scope. Review drawings provided by vendors, clients, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project. Ensure assigned design work is accurate, complete, and delivered according to project requirements. Interact with customers and internal/external personnel as a member of the Project Team. Requirements: 5-10 years of mechanical design experience. Associate degree or higher in Drafting & Design Technology, Engineering Graphics, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault . Experience with P&IDs and process piping . Experience working with pressure vessels . Ability to understand design concepts for large industrial equipment, particularly in pharmaceutical or similar applications. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage your own workload. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work overtime as needed. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
