Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment manufacturing company , is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer in Tonawanda, NY . Pay Rate Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonus. Responsibilities: Apply knowledge of pressure vessel design, including ASME Section VIII Division 1 standards, to the design of capital process equipment. Design machinery and systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and aseptic processing equipment. Perform stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA). Work with stainless steel fabrication, piping, flow, heat transfer, instrumentation, controls, and refrigeration systems. Develop and support large-scale industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and related applications. Manage engineering projects, monitor cost variances, and collaborate with customers and internal teams. Support equipment start-up and validation activities. Promote and maintain SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience. Experience with pressure vessel design and ASME Section VIII Division 1 standards. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency with computer tools and engineering/drawing software. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with refrigeration systems, heat transfer, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, or stainless steel fabrication is highly preferred. Knowledge of electrical distribution, automation, and control systems is a plus. Experience performing advanced stress analysis and FEA is preferred.
