This is an entry‑level position, ideal for candidates with some administrative experience and/or an interest in building a career in HR. Responsibilities Provide support to the People & Culture team and coordinate the administrative and logistical functions of the Office. Ensure timely notices and reminders of important payroll, time, and benefits related information, including bi‑weekly payroll reminders and open‑enrollment announcements. Work with POPS to revise and adjust onboarding, training, and off‑boarding programs and forms to meet evolving Institute needs as directed. Assist staff with navigating routine issues with benefits, leave, and other HR functions, involving other members of the team as needed. Work with People Operations Partners to curate results and findings from survey data into reports and presentations for leadership as appropriate. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred. Experience: Experience and/or training in HR or administration; direct experience in higher education and/or academic research highly preferred. Knowledge/Experience: Foundational awareness of HR policies and best practices; knowledge of undergraduate/graduate benefits systems; experience coordinating onboarding, training, or off‑boarding. Skills/Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational, time‑management, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Abilities: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders; ability to anticipate challenges, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing priorities. Qualities: Highly resourceful team‑player with ability to work independently; strong desire to learn and apply new knowledge; forward‑thinking mentality; desire to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
