About the role The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting team on various projects including but not limited to, budget file preparation, sales/use tax filings and general ledger maintenance. The intern will gain hands-on experience in an accounting environment and will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals. What you'll be doing
- Assists in preparation of excel budget files
- Research and gather data to prepare applicable state/local tax filings
- Provide other analysis/reporting as needed
- Assist in preparing journal entries, account schedules, bank reconciliations and analyze and resolved open or reconciling items
- Current Student with GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Pursuing a degree in accounting or related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Attention to detail
- Organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Possession of a valid state issues driver's license and safe driving record are required
