KYU is looking for a reliable and dedicated Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, supporting both the front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant, including the dining area, restrooms, kitchen, and service areas.
• Handle trash and waste management, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
• Assist in organizing and restocking supplies as needed.
• Support the kitchen and service staff by performing tasks such as delivering supplies and cleaning dishes.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ensure that all cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed according to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down the restaurant for service.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Respond to any cleaning requests from the management or staff promptly.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on reliability and responsibility.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving supplies.

Physical Aspects of the Porter Role
