Location: Center Line Public Schools

Salary: Refer to Teacher's Salary Schedule in CLEA Master Agreement

Reports To: Building Administrator

Qualifications:

• Five years of successful teaching experience (preferably at the elementary school level).

Primary Function:

The primary function of this position is to enhance classroom learning experiences through supporting Conscious Discipline, promoting effective instructional strategies, and restorative practice measures.

Major Responsibilities:

• Share in the supervision of the student attendance policy and procedures while maintaining all necessary records for required reports.
• Work with lunchroom personnel in regard to student behavior during the lunch period.
• Provide academic interventions.
• Provide behavioral interventions.
• Implement a MTSS framework that offers a tiered delivery system with a comprehensive screening and assessment system.
• Organize and facilitate Child Study Team (CST) meetings.
• Assist in the implementation of the building budget(s), master schedule and curriculum when requested.
• Assist with implementation of the school improvement plan.
• Develop and maintain good school/community relationships.
• Supervise the cafeteria, supervise bus duty, supervise driving and parking regulations and assuring the health, safety, and general welfare of the students.
• Practice, teach, and facilitate student conflict resolution.
• Promote student goal setting and self-reflection.
• Develop customized behavior intervention plans.
• Work closely with staff, families, doctors to ensure communication and positive relationships are built in the school setting.
• Protect students with confidentiality and FERPA.
• Provide coaching and support around behavior.
• Keep accurate records/data tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal/school district.
• Adherence to Core Competencies.
