We have an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Merchant to support the development and execution of merchandising strategies that drive sales, profitability, and brand growth. This role partners closely with Merchants, Product Development, Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, and Operations teams to manage product assortments, analyze business performance, support seasonal line planning, sample management, and ensure successful product launches. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about consumer products and market trends. This is a full-time role based in our corporate office in Sherman Oaks, CA. Ability to physically move, lift, and carry samples, pack luggage/shipments, rolling racks, build/strike mannequins, etc. Must be able to come to office 4 days per week. What Your Day Looks Like Develop and manage product assortments that align with customer needs, brand objectives, and financial targets. Establish seasonal line reviews, assortment strategies, and product life cycle management. Analyze and track product performance and make recommendations on assortment optimization. Partner cross-functionally with Design, PD, Planning, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute seasonal strategies and deliver against business objectives. Own and maintain product assortment tools that illustrate merchandising strategies the company will implement to deliver financials results. Establish merchandising priorities and oversee sample management processes for the Merchandising team, including ordering, packing, organization, and distribution, adhering to the GTM (Go-To-Market) Calendar. Efficiently organize and prepare samples for product presentations, including fabric headers, CADs, and line sheets. Procure competitive samples and conduct market research to influence product opportunities, pricing, and positioning and making recommendations to Merchandising leadership. Collaborate with the Merchant team to provide product knowledge and copy for marketing catalogues.
