Clinical Coordinator (RN) Radiology - RN's Full Time Day

Clinical Coordinator RN Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ | Full‑time day shift | Salary range: $110,150.29–$143,195.38 per year. Responsibilities The Radiology RN Coordinator organizes and administers individualized, age‑specific nursing care across radiology with a primary focus on Interventional Radiology and IV Access. The role ensures timely completion of IR exams and IV access procedures, validates appropriateness criteria for vascular access, maintains billing and work queues, and provides direct oversight of the IV Access Team. Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. Collaborates with the IR Manager to oversee work queues, run safety huddles, coordinate schedules, and provide backup leadership. Assures safety in practice and applies evidence‑based practice principles by maintaining knowledge of personal competence, advancing professional knowledge, and communicating with resources available to the patient care team. Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Has knowledge of the patient population served. Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. Sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Functions as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address each patient’s needs.
