Registered Nurse (RN) Same Day Surgery Full Time Evening

Job Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery, Full‑time, Evening Shift. Facility: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112-2027. Compensation Hourly rate: $49.28–$66.05. Responsibilities Provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Assures safety in practice using evidence‑based principles and continually advances knowledge through communication and resource utilization. Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Maintains knowledge of the patient population served. Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient‑care providers. Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Acts as an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to individualize plans of care for specific patient needs. Qualifications ASN or nursing diploma. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. Preferred Qualifications BSN. Minimum two years of hospital experience. Certifications and Licenses Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Scheduling Requirements Evening shift, 37.5 hours.
