Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
• Strong depth in one or more infrastructure engineering disciplines such as hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-approved AI capabilities in the workplace to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with disciplined validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to review and verify AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate when needed, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
• Deep expertise in one infrastructure technology and scripting languages
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate across and migrate between public and private clouds
• Commitment to broadening technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond the primary product or domain
• Familiarity with large distributed systems spanning compute, databases, messaging, observability, and telemetry
• Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes and the controls that govern them
• Understanding of data-driven decision making
• Preferred: Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, or Terraform certifications
• Preferred: AWS certification(s)

• Use technical expertise and structured problem-solving to handle moderately scoped projects and deliver creative solutions for design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Use enterprise-approved AI capabilities to speed up infrastructure analysis and design documentation while validating outputs and handling operational data appropriately
• Lead a workstream or project across one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, collaborating with other platforms to design and implement changes that resolve issues and modernize technology processes
• Evaluate upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical impacts, and recommend mitigation actions
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted methods in delivery and automation to identify recurring issues and confirm remediation options, keeping changes traceable, auditable, resilient, and secure
• Provide deep technical support across multiple cloud platforms to thousands of technologists by diagnosing and resolving complex integration-level issues above the API layer
• Build and enhance self-service capabilities such as tools, telemetry, guides, FAQs, and automation so clients and teams can resolve issues independently
• Partner with engineering and product teams to drive permanent issue resolution and identify trends that inform product improvements
• Learn quickly and help others continuously as product teams release new features and products
• Provide follow-the-sun 24/7 on-call support through a distributed team across multiple time zones
