CNC Setup Machinist

Job Duties

CNC Setup

Set up CNC machines (including tooling, fixtures, and program offsets) for production runs on iron cast components.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine set-up requirements.

Inspect initial run pieces and perform in-process inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.

Work with Quality Control and Engineering teams to resolve machining or set-up issues.

Ensure machines are properly maintained and report any mechanical issues.

Maintain clean and safe work area according to shop standards.

Document setup sheets and maintain tooling inventory.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
