As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Access Screening in Newport News, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain clear, professional communication with employees and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for personnel, vehicles, and vendors entering or exiting the site.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and loading areas; document arrivals, departures, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and loading zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
