Registered Nurse - ICU

ICU RN Position

The ICU RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring patient safety and well-being through comprehensive assessment and treatment. They collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and monitor patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions upon admission and continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in accordance with medical directives.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following hospital protocols.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient status and diagnostic results.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical findings.

Qualifications

• Hold an active and valid state RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have at least one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care or critical care setting.
• Demonstrate EPIC EMR proficiency.
• Preferably hold CCRN certification and COVID vaccination/boosters.
• Be willing to float to Medical Surgical units if required.
