Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Location: LAS VEGAS, NV 89118
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time, Hours Vary

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join a growing commercial maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has basic knowledge of tools, and wants to build a long-term career in the skilled trades.
The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, takes direction well, and is interested in developing skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance. No extensive maintenance experience is required, but candidates should have a basic understanding of common hand and power tools and a strong willingness to learn.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist experienced technicians with commercial maintenance and repair projects.
• Learn and support plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-up work.
• Support carpentry projects, door repairs, and general building maintenance.
• Help perform minor electrical tasks under supervision.
• Assist with facility inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Respond to service calls and assist technicians at various commercial properties throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
• Complete other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools.
• Strong desire to learn a skilled trade and grow within the maintenance industry.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Must have flexible availability and be willing to work varying schedules as business needs require.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in construction, maintenance, landscaping, warehouse, moving, automotive, or other hands-on work environments.
• Experience using drills, saws, measuring tools, ladders, and basic hand tools.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required.
