Director of Analysis and Strategy

Our client is seeking an innovative Research Director to lead strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with senior R&D leaders to provide scientific direction and drive team performance.Manage, mentor, and grow a team of over 20 research scientists specializing in molecular biology and related fields.Utilize computational methods to improve research outcomes and expedite discoveries.Lead the creation and enhancement of cutting-edge assays, emphasizing innovation and uniqueness.Contribute to long-term R&D strategies, prioritize projects, and plan resource allocation.Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Commercialization, and Regulatory Affairs to bring research findings to market as diagnostic solutions.Represent the R&D department internally and externally to key scientific and industry partners.Qualifications:Minimum 20 years of experience in molecular biology research, with a significant portion in leadership positions.PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, or related field.Proven track record of leading and developing scientific teams.Strong background or familiarity with structural biology is highly desirable.Hands-on experience with nucleic acid technologies, such as DNA/RNA detection and oligonucleotide-based assays, is a plus.Experience in developing novel assays is preferred.Demonstrated ability to translate scientific discoveries into commercial or clinical applications.Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.Location: Rockville, MD
