Shift Hours:

• Monday: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Thrusday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Saturday: 2nd sat of a month : 8:am - 12:00 pm

Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. Under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you'll perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your work directly supports healthcare providers and contributes to the overall well-being of our patients.

What You Will Do

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the clinical setting.
• Contribute to the delivery of compassionate and quality patient care.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR
  • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR
  • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
