Senior Systems Reliability Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to support and optimize large-scale, distributed infrastructure environments. This individual will play a key role in automation, system reliability, and infrastructure performance while working closely with engineering and operations teams. This position is fully remote but ideal candidate must reside in California or Oregon.

Senior Systems Reliability Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows using Ansible
• Support and troubleshoot large, complex, distributed systems and infrastructure
• Manage and maintain Linux server environments and bare metal servers
• Develop and maintain scripts using Python and Bash to improve operational efficiency
• Utilize Git for version control and infrastructure management workflows
• Monitor system reliability, performance, and scalability across environments

Senior Systems Reliability Engineer's Qualifications and Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in Systems Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration
• Experience with automation tools, specifically Ansible
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, and Git
• Experience supporting large-scale, distributed systems environments
• Foundational networking knowledge including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
