The CDL School & Troops Into Transportation Miami, Florida| Remote | Full-Time | On-Site + Travel Help Lead the Next Stage of Growth at The CDL School The CDL School is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to lead and develop our admissions and sales organization across a growing network of civilian CDL training campuses. This is not a desk-bound corporate sales position. We are looking for a hands-on sales leader who understands how to manage a distributed, multi-location sales organization while still being comfortable getting close to the individual salesperson, the customer conversation, and the numbers. Our ideal candidate has led teams across multiple branches, offices, or states and comes from an environment where success depends on effective one-on-one consultative selling . Experience in industries such as financial services, insurance, consumer lending, education, automotive, home services, or other high-consideration consumer sales environments can translate particularly well. What You’ll Lead You will have responsibility for sales execution across our civilian campus network, working closely with senior leadership, campus operations, marketing, and our admissions teams. Your mission will be straightforward: build a disciplined, professional sales organization that helps more qualified students make good career decisions while consistently achieving enrollment and revenue goals. Key responsibilities include: Lead, coach, and develop sales and admissions personnel across multiple campuses and states. Establish clear expectations around activity, pipeline management, follow-up, conversion, and results. Coach individual salespeople on consultative selling, discovery, objection handling, follow-up, and closing . Develop frontline sales leaders capable of coaching their own teams. Use CRM data and performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve conversion. Inspect individual and branch performance and intervene early when results begin moving off plan. Partner with marketing to improve lead quality, speed-to-lead, contact rates, appointment rates, and enrollment conversion. Help develop sales processes, scripts, training, and performance standards that can scale across the organization. Visit campuses regularly and spend time where the selling actually happens . Build a culture that is competitive, accountable, ethical, and student-focused. Who We’re Looking For We are less interested in finding someone with the perfect industry résumé than finding someone who has actually built and managed productive sales teams . Strong candidates will bring: Significant experience leading sales teams with measurable revenue or production responsibility. Experience managing multiple branches, locations, territories, or states . A strong background in individual consultative sales , particularly financial products, insurance, consumer services, or another considered-purchase environment. Demonstrated ability to coach salespeople—not simply manage reports and dashboards. Strong command of CRM systems, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales KPIs. Comfort holding people accountable while simultaneously developing their capabilities. The ability to move comfortably between strategy and frontline execution. Strong communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills. Willingness to work primarily from our Miami, Florida operation and travel regularly to other campuses. A bachelor's degree is welcome, but demonstrated sales leadership, judgment, and results matter more to us than credentials alone.
