Corporate Project Engineer

Project Engineer – NASP Corporate MetalsThis position is accountable for the planning/organizing, collecting data, development, design, and coordination of manufacturing improvements in assigned Mauser facilities. This also includes providing start-up, testing assistance of new/existing equipment, evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, process efficiencies and machine reliability; improve work flow; validate improvements.Responsibilities: Manages activities of cost reduction projects including documentation to write AFE update reportsDevelops project objectives and plans by reviewing the overall scope with the management team. Monitors and improves machine processes & develops work instructions to train employees and participate in implementing safety improvements by working with internal and external resourcesEvaluates and improves manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; incorporating new methods and techniques; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, tooling and materials; soliciting observations from operators; studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipmentAssists in determining root cause and provide corrective action with customer product complaints and validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired resultsParticipates in projects that support in reducing downtime and scrap while organize, plan and commission new or modified production linesDevelops appropriate manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, process setup instructions, and maintenance requirements) for integration into the company’s quality systemControls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.Prepares project status reports by analyzing information and reviewing timelines and investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical mannerEnsures that all contractors and personnel working on projects comply with Federal, State and OSHA regulations. Obtaining necessary building permits if applicable.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or minimum of 5 years’ equivalent experiencePrevious experience managing or leading technical projects requiredDesired attainment of nationally recognized certification in manufacturing engineering, such as AME or SMEExcellent computer and data analysis skills. proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), SAP & Data Analysis (such as Minitab) experience a plusAbility to read blueprints; experience with utilizing 2D Auto CadExcellent analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skillsDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
