Details 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit Mixed diagnosis patient population with 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio RN reads telemetry, no titration required Equipment used includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer Skills needed include trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment Unit supported by CRN and discharge nurse, with weekday pharmacist coverage Night shift schedule, 18:45-07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week Every other weekend required Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (IN or compact) required BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years acute care inpatient RN experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge Mentors and precepts staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model American Traveler Job ID P-747727.
