Respiratory Therapist

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in adult critical care, including emergency department exposure. Travelers are allowed for their first assignment. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS and RRT. Skills required for this role include intubation assistance, extubation, nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care. Additional competencies include the use of high flow nasal cannulas and CPAP/BiPAP. Candidates must have experience troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. References covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required. Compliance with training modules is necessary prior to start. Modules are non-billable and average 16 hours spent completing them. Completion is recorded in transcripts for verification. This position may require weekend coverage and a flexible schedule. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively manage patient care in critical situations.
