Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Location Utica, NY | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving an adult patient population Manage post-surgical care for patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery Operate specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes Float to other units as required based on staffing and census needs Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR Required Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience Prior travel nursing experience required Proficiency with EPIC EMR Locals are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with post-surgical patient populations including bariatric and orthopedic cases Familiarity with nasogastric and enteral feeding tube management Ability to adapt to variable scheduling, as block scheduling is not guaranteed Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a dynamic Medical/Surgical environment with a diverse adult patient population Gain experience across a variety of post-surgical diagnoses and specialty equipment in an acute care setting Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 776269.
