Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of CVICU experience and an active VA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, with options for 3x12s or 4x12s
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to regular ICU (potential COVID patient care), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac tele unit
• On-call required for select areas such as OR, IR, and Cath Lab with 30 mile/30 minute response requirement
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic clinical documentation experience preferred, with training class assigned based on experience level
• Proof of license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to cardiovascular ICU patients
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless an approved exemption is obtained
• Smoke/nicotine free facility
• Floating is conducted in rotation with regular staff per facility policy and Joint Commission standards
• Expect to work some holidays, with RTO kept to a minimum and approved at manager's discretion
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable training modules required during orientation
