Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III - Indirect

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect materials and services. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supply chain performance across a global, regulated organization in the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect spend categories
- Negotiate supplier contracts and manage relationships to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risk
- Conduct spend analysis and implement process improvements using data-driven methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to optimize procurement processes and drive continuous improvement
- Travel up to 10% as required for supplier meetings and business needs
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 3 years procurement experience, or bachelor's degree plus 5 years in mid-to-large multinational companies
- Category management or indirect supplier management expertise in life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM
- Demonstrated success with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analytics, and procurement software; advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Compensation: $75,800–$101,000 base
