Clinical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemistry and laboratory testing, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to perform complex laboratory procedures with accuracy and efficiency. This role involves conducting diagnostic testing, analyzing specimens, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control standards, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist Location: New York City, NY, 10041 Shift: Nights Schedule: 5*8 (40 hours weekly) Pay: $60-65/hr Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to provide laboratory support within the Chemistry department. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory testing skills, experience performing chemistry-based analyses, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role following successful assignment completion. Key Responsibilities • Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis in the Chemistry department. • Analyze patient specimens and accurately report laboratory results. • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment. • Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures in accordance with laboratory standards. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control requirements. • Review and verify test results for accuracy and completeness. • Maintain accurate and timely laboratory documentation. • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment. • Assist with laboratory workflow management and specimen processing activities. • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and accreditation standards. Required Qualifications • Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience. • Chemistry laboratory experience required. • Associate Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program. • Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (License 092) issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). • Primary Source Verification of licensure required. • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, quality control, and instrumentation. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
