Payroll Specialist
Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a respected Sacramento-based organization known for its accuracy, compliance, and strong employee support. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who excels in payroll processing, reconciliations, tax reporting, and cross-department collaboration. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, deduction reconciliations, and general accounting support. This position ensures payroll accuracy, compliance with federal and state regulations, and timely communication with staff, supervisors, and program directors.
Full-Time | On-Site | Sacramento, CA Pay $31-$33/Hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including deductions, garnishments, accruals, reimbursements, and manual checks.
- Provide payroll reports to program directors; support timecard, accrual, and time-off inquiries.
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation, scanning, and retention; assist with audits and monitoring visits.
Qualifications:
- 3- 5 years payroll experience.
- Strong math skills, ten-key proficiency, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; teamwork-oriented and flexible with deadlines.
