Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, performing independent lab draws and IV startsfunção
• Care for patients across a broad range of diagnoses including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological conditions in coordination with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, APPs, nurse aides, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy
• Utilize Meditech 6.15 EMR for all documentation, including accurate and timely charting with auto lunch deductions applied
• Support behavioral health patients in a dedicated 6-bed locked psychiatric unit area staffed by psych personnel within the ED
• Fulfill rotating weekend and holiday requirements (every other weekend and every other holiday) and complete unit orientation during the first week of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (version 6.15 preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
• Ability to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs as required by the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a trauma-receiving or CVA-designated emergency department
• Familiarity with ventilator management protocols and working alongside dedicated respiratory therapy staff
• Prior charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
