Accounting SpecialistColumbus, OH | On-site $45k- $48kOur client is a mission-driven organization seeking an Accounting Specialist to support their team with essential financial operations.Position Summary:The Accounting Specialist will handle day-to-day accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial data entry. A key responsibility will be moving and reconciling data from spreadsheets into our accounting system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a nonprofit environment.Key Responsibilities of Accounting Specialist:Process AP and AR transactions accurately and on timeEnter financial data from Excel spreadsheets into the accounting systemReconcile accounts and vendor statementsTrack and code expenses by project or grantAssist with monthly closings, audits, and reportsMaintain organized financial documentationQualifications of Accounting Specialist:Prior experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar roleStrong attention to detail and time managementExcellent communication and organizational skills
