CLERK- PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Job Title: Payroll Specialist 7 Wage/Hour Status: Reports to: Armando Nunez Payroll Director Pay Grade: S7E Dept. /School: As Assigned Days: 227 Supervises: N/A Funding: 199 Primary Purpose: Ensure the accuracy of payroll records and processing. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Special Knowledge Skills: 10-Key and database systems preferred Experience: Two years of Texas School District Payroll Systems preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Substitute/Part-time monthly payroll: Preview and approve all supplemental pay and substitute pay Process substitute/part-time new hires, exits, and changes Run the payroll warrant through completion Print and prepare checks for distribution Provide support for all payroll inquiries Full-time monthly payroll: Preview and approve all supplemental pay Key all deduction adjustments (refunds and double deductions) Setup/Maintain all direct deposits recordsli> Setup/Maintain employee/dependent insurance changes Special Assignments: Secretary training for time entry batches (requires travel) Process assigned deduction billings.
