This contract position offers a dynamic chance to work in various classrooms, ranging from moderate settings to multi-category self-contained environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, with multi-categorical or required certifications
• Endorsement/certification in Early Childhood required for PreK assignments
• Experience working in both resource/co-taught and self-contained/moderate classrooms
• Comfortable teaching students across diverse grade levels and ability ranges
• Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with general education and special services staff
• Adaptability to meet the needs of students in multiple settings and age groups
• Blinded resume, copy of certifications, and preferred age group required to apply

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students in moderate classrooms and resource/co-taught rooms at the elementary level
• Engage with middle school students in a multi-categorical, self-contained setting
• Work with high school students in moderate classroom environments
• Lead instruction for PreK students, utilizing EC certification
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Promote inclusive practices and positive learning environments, adapting strategies to student needs
• Maintain timely and clear communication with school teams and families
• Participate fully onsite; remote options may be considered closer to the school year
