Business Analyst Asset Management

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS) and Charles River OMS within an Asset Management or Capital Markets environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of front-office investment workflows, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations, along with strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Support and enhance Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS) modules, including: Portfolio Management, Order Management, Trading, Compliance, and Rebalancing.
• Analyze and optimize end-to-end investment lifecycle processes, including portfolio construction, order generation, trade execution, allocation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Configure and maintain pre-trade and post-trade compliance rules, investment guidelines, and regulatory controls within Charles River.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to design, implement, and deliver system enhancements, upgrades, and platform migration initiatives.
• Manage integrations between Charles River and third-party platforms, including Bloomberg, FactSet, State Street Alpha, Aladdin, custodians, and market data providers.
• Perform data analysis, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting related to security master, pricing, benchmark, and reference data.
• Lead UAT activities, develop test cases, coordinate defect resolution, and support successful deployment and adoption of solutions.
• Ensure solutions effectively support investment management functions and business objectives.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Charles River Investment Management System (CR IMS).
• Experience with Charles River OMS.
• Knowledge of Portfolio Management, Order Management, Trading, Compliance, and Rebalancing modules.

2. Business Analysis

• Strong Business Analysis experience within Asset Management or Capital Markets environments.
• Ability to gather, analyze, document, and translate complex business requirements into technology solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

3. Investment Management Workflows

• In-depth knowledge of: front-office trading workflows, portfolio management, compliance monitoring, investment operations, trade lifecycle, order management, and reconciliation.

• Experience integrating Charles River with Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, State Street Alpha, and custodian platforms.
• Strong understanding of investment products, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and ETFs.
• Experience with UAT, Agile delivery methodologies, data analysis, and regulatory/compliance reporting.
