About ING In the Americas, ING's Wholesale Banking division offers a broad range of innovative financial products and services to domestic and international corporate and institutional clients. Sectors Coverage Sector Coverage focuses on delivering a differentiated client experience through specialized sector knowledge both within and across the following business lines: Financial Institutions Sustainable Finance Energy (Hydrocarbons and New Energy; Renewables and Power) Real Estate Finance and Infrastructure Commodities, Food & Agriculture Technology, Media, Telecom & Healthcare Corporate Sector Coverage About the Position The 10‑week Summer 2027 Internship provides hands‑on experience in wholesale banking. Interns work alongside senior bankers, participating in projects that expose them to industry expertise, research, analysis, and real‑world banking solutions. Responsibilities Assist sector professionals in the origination, structuring, and execution of new financing solutions. Research and produce industry and market analyses. Prepare pitches and presentations. Contribute to the execution of internal memos. Review financial projections and sensitivity analyses. Review due diligence materials. Manage onboarding of new clients. Prepare ad‑hoc and general research assignments. Collaborate with product specialists and departments such as risk management, syndications, financial markets, capital markets, and transaction services when necessary. Profile (What we’re looking for) Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an expected graduation date Spring 2028. Experience / Knowledge Prior internship and/or relevant financial experience preferred. Basic understanding of key financial markets and products. Good knowledge of financial analysis. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others). Financial modeling and credit writing exposure is helpful. VBA and/or programming skill are a plus. Competencies Upbeat and highly focused individual. High performance motivation and eagerness to learn. Highly detail‑oriented. Strong multi‑tasking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Flexibility and stress resilience; ability to work under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and in agile teams.
