Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

The RN MS/Tele (Ortho) is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to orthopedic and spinal surgery patients on a night shift. The role involves managing a range of adult medical and surgical conditions, ensuring patient safety, and supporting mobility and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor patient care, including bedside procedures such as lumbar punctures and post-surgical assessments.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in EPIC EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Perform patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition.
  
  
• 
  Float to other units or campuses as needed, providing qualified care within documented competencies.
  
  
• 
  Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including vital signs monitoring and Heparin drip management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid SC or multistate RN license required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year recent clinical experience in Med/Surg, Tele, or Orthopedic units.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in EPIC EMR with at least 1 year of experience.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical skills in bedside procedures and patient management.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend and 6 weekend shifts per contract.
