Set the strategic direction for client work and shape reputation strategy Identify positioning, priority audiences and effective communications channels Create integrated communications plans connecting tactics to strategic objectives Interrogate client briefs, design research briefs and challenge assumptions Advise clients and provide recommendations in meetings, in writing and during time-sensitive situations Produce compelling written content Lead significant communications moments including media briefings, speeches, owned-channel campaigns and events Stay informed about industry news, regulatory shifts and competitive dynamics Manage junior colleagues, create project plans and delegate work Deliver work on time and to a high standard Use Claude, Gemini, internal AI studio and other AI tools for research, insights and analysis Contribute to AI knowledge-sharing and quality standards Support business development and align advice with client business objectives Improve team efficiency and identify new ways to help clients Give and receive feedback, seek colleague input and contribute to an inclusive culture Requirements At least 5 years of corporate communications experience – in consultancy, in-house, or both – including time working with technology companies and/or investors Demonstrable ability to take a strategic approach to communications challenges and opportunities Understanding of different audiences (investors, policymakers, media, employees) and communications channels Experience advising clients or senior stakeholders directly, building trusted relationships Experience developing and executing media strategies and working with journalists Strong written communications skills across a range of formats and audiences Experience managing teams and delegating work effectively, with a track record of supporting junior colleagues to develop Project management experience, including planning and delivering work against agreed goals, timelines and budgets Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) effectively, safely and critically in a professional setting Intellectual curiosity to develop subject matter expertise in new topics and share that knowledge with colleagues Collaborative instincts and a genuine commitment to contributing to an inclusive culture Experience in research, policy, media relations or campaigns (desirable) Core Competencies Demonstrates strategic direction in corporate communications, with expertise in managing client relationships, developing integrated communication plans, and utilizing AI tools for insights and analysis.
