We are a collaborative team that values reliability, attention to detail, continuous learning, and people who enjoy supporting complex processes behind the scenes.About the RoleThe Escrow Officer manages real estate transactions from file opening through funding, recording, and final delivery. This role serves as a primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals, ensuring transactions are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with industry requirements. Responsibilities include preparing closing documents, conducting closings, managing disbursements, and coordinating all aspects of the closing process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in escrow, title, lending, or real estate transactions.What You'll DoEscrow Administration & Transaction ManagementOpen and process escrow files in accordance with company procedures, lender requirements, and regulatory standardsReview title commitments, purchase agreements, loan instructions, and supporting documentation to ensure file readinessCoordinate all aspects of the closing process from file opening through post-closing deliveryCollect and verify payoffs, invoices, insurance information, tax information, and required clear-to-close itemsClosing Preparation & Settlement ServicesPrepare closing disclosures, settlement statements, escrow instructions, and related closing documentsReview closing packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lender and regulatory requirementsCoordinate funding activities and ensure proper disbursement of fundsFacilitate recording of documents and oversee final file completionCustomer Service & ClosingsConduct in-person, virtual, and mail-away closings with buyers and sellersClearly explain closing documents, settlement statements, and transaction processes to customersServe as a trusted resource for clients by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly and professionallyCompliance & Quality ControlEnsure compliance with ALTA Best Practices, company policies, lender requirements, and state regulationsReview files for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established proceduresProtect confidential customer and financial information through proper handling and documentation practicesCommunicate proactively with relators, lenders, customers, and internal teams to maintain transaction progress and closing timelinesCoordinate post-closing activities, including recording, policy issuance, and final file deliveryRequirementsWhat You BringAssociate or bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of relevant experienceStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Reliable transportation for daily depositsAbility to successfully pass a background checkAdditional preferred qualifications:Two years of administrative, escrow, title, lending, banking, mortgage, or related experienceExperience with loan documentation, construction draws, disbursements, or post-closing activitiesFamiliarity with lender portals and document management systemsWhat Makes Someone Successful in This RoleYou are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyYou enjoy working with detailed documentation and ensuring accuracyYou communicate professionally and build positive relationships with lenders, contractors, and team membersYou are dependable and follow through on commitmentsYou thrive in structured, process-driven environmentsWork Environment & ScheduleFull-time positionMonday-Friday schedulePrimarily office-based work with frequent computer useFrequent use of a computer, phone, scanner, and standard office equipmentMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesReliable transportation required for daily deposits and document deliveriesPrimarily sedentary work performed in an office settingWhat We OfferHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceHealth savings account (HSA)Flexible spending account (FSA)Disability insuranceLife insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time-offPaid holidaysEmployee assistance programEmployee referral programEmployee discounts
